One of Matt's fellow Marines talks of Matt's heroic deeds. Although Matt was younger and not as high ranked as this officer, this Marine said that the other Marines liked to be around Matt because they liked being in the company of a hero.

I am a mother of 3 wonderful grown children, and I live on a little piece of Texas. We have 2 horses, 2 dogs. I love horses, especially the English disciplines. I also play classical piano, play at ballet,and I enjoy playing hymns. When my husband and I play gospel, I play autoharp and he plays banjo or guitar.I enjoy making quilts.
