Look at this unusual Blue Bonnet we found growing close to our place on the side of the road. It is a real mutant! It was very large. My husband wants to get seeds from it, but I guess even though it's unusual, I don't like it compared to the others. 

This shows the whole plant , which was much larger than the regular Blue Bonnets around it. In the lower right hand corner you can see a normal Blue Bonnet. 

This is an unusual wild flower we found at our Blue Praire bed and breakfast property. It is called Ander's Wild Buckwheat. It is amazing how seeds can lie dormant for years and suddenly everything is right for them to sprout and bloom.
